The largest construction project in Wisconsin history, Miller Park opened for baseball on April 6, 2001. The 1.2 million square foot facility is 330 foot tall on 25 acres. The overall ball park site comprises 265 acres.
Brewer great Robin Yount consulted with designers on the ball field dimensions itself. Yount's designs were to inspire excitement with asymmetrical dimensions. The facility itself features a retractable roof with a signature fan shaped design on the exterior. The colder climate of Wisconsin is avoided by having the roof closed, yet in the warmer summer months outdoor baseball is played. Miller Park offers four choices of front row seats on four different levels. The brick facade and ball park asthetics invite fans into the stadium where manual scoreboads and an intimate proximity to the grass field add to a unique experience. Featured within the venue is a color replay board measuring 48 feet wid and 37 feet tall.
